Link dump from MDRAI

Tonight I attended an event at Elisava organized by the Master in Design for Responsible AI. I gathered a few links from the presentations by Caroline Sinders and Leandro Ucciferri. I’m just going to dump them below to explore later.

Tech Cartographies

[…] a cartography that illustrates the physical and geopolitical dimensions of the internet’s structure is an attempt to materialize the cloud

Illustrative map of the world with blob-like continents and countries connected together and overlayed with figures, logos, portraits and symbol from the tech industry.

More Than Human Life

The More Than Human Life (MOTH) Project is an interdisciplinary initiative advancing rights and well-being for humans, non-humans, and the web of life that sustains us all.

Spawning AI

AI Needs Your Help

savethe.ai

Artificial Intelligence is facing a crisis: humans are consuming far too many precious resources that AI needs to thrive. Every sip of water you take and every light you turn on could be sustaining the AI systems that uphold your digital conveniences.

They also have a Mastodon presence: @savetheAI

More links were shared but those are the ones I captured. In conclusion of this post I’ll quote Caroline Sinders which, I believe, summarized the right approach.

Instead of saying “No AI”, ask “Why AI”
